The advantages of Alpikord
It is postformable, with a maximum bending radius of 12 mm.
It is made from wood originating exclusively from plantations or forests that are managed to guarantee a natural balance between felled and re-grown trees
It is already lacquered, ready for application and protected with a peel-off film
It can be applied and worked in the same way as any other HP laminate.
It is resistant to photodegradation: all articles have passed Xenotest tests.
On request it is supplied with IMO MED (naval) and Class 1 certification for reaction to fire. It is available in large sheets (3050x1300 mm) ready for delivery.

The standard finishes
The Alpikord collection presents a range of finishes which currently tend towards more textured and tactile effects, enhancing the natural beauty of wood.

Wax Effect (Gloss 5).
A matt lacquer, developed to reproduce a wood treated with oils or natural wax.

Sandblasted Wax Effect (Gloss 5).
A special finish with a preliminary treatment of selective surface erosion that enhances the natural depth of the wood texture. The result is an outstanding tactile effect and extremely natural appearance comparable to that of the raw veneer.

Polyurethane (Gloss 25 – 40).
This traditional finish stands out for its class and elegance, preserving the look and feel of original craftsmen’s products.

Customized finishes
On request and with certain minimum production quantities*, Alpikord can be customised with the following finishes:
Raw, Raw Sanded and Raw Sandblasted
To give customers the greatest freedom in applying their own finishes.
Polyurethane (Gloss 40, 50, 60)
For a clear effect that gives wood the status of wealth and prestige.
Melamine Overlay
Treated with a melamine overlay applied to the surface of the wood to give it tough protection and surface resistance: the range of available finishes varies from gloss 10 to gloss 90, with different surface effects, including a high-resistance overlay for floors.
