FORMALDEHYDE RELEASE
As demonstrated by tests conducted by the independent testing institute Catas in accordance with the EN 717-2 method, all Alpilignum veneers are certified E1, which equates to the lowest level of formaldehyde release envisaged by European standards.

On request, Alpi is able to supply veneers complying with the even more stringent German legislation on formaldehyde release (lower than 0.1 ppm). Certification of conformity is issued by WKI (Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institut Holzforschung).

REACTION TO FIRE
The Alpi R&D department has developed special manufacturing and lacquering cycles that give Alpikord unique characteristics and guarantee the best reaction to fire in terms of low flame spread and reduced fume emissions.

IMO MED
Is an international certificate issued by the Internationa Maritime Organization which defines the criteria to approve the fireproof materials to be used on shipbuilding wall paneling. Alpikord AF2 (lacquered finish) and Alpilam AFF (melamine surfaces) sheets, can be supplied on request with IMO MED certification.

EUROPEAN CERTIFICATION
Alpikord veneers with melamine overlay (thickness 1.3 mm) can be certified on request to standard EN 13501-1:2002 Class B-S1.d0 relating to the fire classification of construction products.

CLASS 1 HOMOLOGATION
This is an Italian standard established by the Italian Ministry for the Interior concerning the classification of reaction to fire for the purposes of fire prevention. This homologation can be provided on request for the Melamine AFF overlay in thicknesses 0.5 mm, 1 mm and 1.3 mm.
