FSC certification
Ayous and poplar are the main raw materials used by Alpi Group to manufacture its Alpilignum wood veneer. The origin of these woods is certified by FSC (SGS-COC-004194).
The trademark of the Forest Stewardship Council indicates that the wood used by Alpi group to make the product comes from forests which are well managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards and from other controlled sources.

Alpi Group is awarded the OLB Certification
In June 2009, the ALPI Group was awarded the OLB certification (olb-cert-090501) for its forestry operations in Cameroon. Granted by Bureau Veritas Certification, this certification ensures the legal compliance and traceability (until the first processing) of the wood produced and sold by the company.

TFT membership
In March 2009 the ALPI Group formally became a member of the TFT (Tropical Forest Trust), a no profit organisation working to conserve threatened forests through sustainable management. TFT member companies are committed to sourcing wood from TFT forest projects and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified forests. This significant recognition rewarded ALPI’s committment to sustainable forest management, which has been going on for several years and, since 2007, in cooperation with the TFT.

FSC CERTIFICATION FOR ALPI POPLAR
As of 1/02/2008 Alpi has obtained FSC certification (SGS-COC-004194) which guarantees that the poplar used in the production of multilaminar wood comes from a well managed forest according to strict environmental, social and economic standards and from other controlled sources. Alpi spa is therefore able to assure its customers the supply of FSC certified multilaminar wood veneers, also in HPL version.

Certification of origin of poplar
The poplar timber used by Alpi for the production of multilaminar wood originates exclusively from Italian plantations. The certification issued by SGS testifies to this renewability and the Alpi Group’s concrete commitment to the responsible management of raw materials and its contribution to promoting the value of local agricultural resources.
