In 2010, article 57 of the European Reach regulation requires notification of all items containing SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) listed in the candidate list, above a concentration of 0.1% weight. All Alpi woods comply with these requirements. The following information is provided in order to fulfill the obligations of this regulation:

1. Alpi identifies itself as a “downstream user”, according to REACH
2. Articles produced by Alpi, under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, do not release substances
3. Items supplied by Alpi S.p.A. (veneers, sawn wood and solid multilaminar materials) do not contain “SVHC” substances listed in the candidate list in amounts equal to or above 0.1% (weight/weight);
4. Alpi S.p.A. has sent its upstream suppliers a request for confirmation of pre-registration (or registration) of substances (either the substances themselves or those within mixes/preparations) and declaration of the amount of SVHC substances.

If this declaration changes at a future date, all Alpi clients will be notified within 45 days, as foreseen by the current legislation.
