ALPI presents the latest new developments of wood products and collections at the Surface Design Show in London, a true worldwide showcase for companies operating in the sector of interior and exterior surfaces.
The company is also one of the finalists for the “Surface Design Award,” the prestigious prize for excellence, avant-garde design and innovative use of surfaces in international projects, with the Asplund Pavilion designed by Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel, built by ALPI as the project contractor. The winners will be announced during a prize ceremony on 7 February. ALPI continues its research based on constant technological innovation and the fine craftsmanship that has always set the company apart, combined with the outstanding quality of its raw materials. The firm takes part in this event in collaboration with the distributor Eden Anglo, to present the new ALPIkord collection, a decorative surface that combines the practicality of prefinished wood with the advantages of uniqueness and customization, to an audience of architects and designers. ALPIkord represents yet another expression of the industrial culture of ALPI through an inimitable product, ready for application to any type of surface.Together with ALPIkord, the displays will also focus on the new collections of ALPI patterns Velò and Xilo 2.0 Walnut created by Piero Lissoni and GamFratesi, and the reissue by Atelier Mendini with Alex Mocika. With their vivid narrative impact, ALPI woods have the capacity to suggest a wide range of atmospheres: warm and tactile, in the reproduction of wood, innovative and dynamic in the graphic designs. The offerings of new materic surfaces, unique and exclusive in their forms and colors, are the result of cutting-edge aesthetic research on woods of all kinds.
