ALPI flies to Belgium to present its latest collections of wood surfaces at ARCHITECT@WORK, the leading trade fair in Europe for architects, designers and professionals. An exclusive event on innovative products, selected by a committee of experts to guarantee a high level of quality. Fine craftsmanship and technological innovation are fundamental factors in the ALPI collections. The company conducts constant research on new combinations of materials and colors, exploring the natural environment and fully demonstrating the potential of ALPI wood. The narration of the expressive impact of the new collections for 2019, recent presented during the FuoriSalone in Milan, continues at Architect@Work Belgium. On the one hand, Piero Lissoni has investigated the possible expressions of natural wood, such as cherry, reinterpreted and enhanced; on the other Martino Gamper has created a new wood that does not exist in nature, pushing the boundaries of experimentation to invent the wood “Gamperana Triplex.”  During Architect@Work ALPI also displays various innovative products capable of combining technology and creativity. From the multicolored dots of the reissue of the first wood produced by ALPI for Atelier Mendini in 1991, Pointillisme COL and B/N by Atelier Mendini with Alex Mocika, to the charm of clouds transformed into graphic signs in the Cloudy wood by GamFratesi. The exhibits will also include the new ALPIkord collection, after its recent launch, for a decorative wooden surface that blends the quality and unique character of ALPI woods with the practicality of a prefinished product. The company has selected a number of patterns from the range: the famous ALPI Sottsass Red, based on the flamboyant and evocative language of the designer Ettore Sottsass; ALPI Xilo 2.0 Striped White and ALPI Xilo 2.0 Planked Black, two chromatic variants of the Xilo 2.0 designer collection coordinated by the company’s art director Piero Lissoni. Important collaborations and projects that become expressions of the in-depth design research and industrial culture of ALPI.
