4 - 6 February 2020
Messezentrum Bad Salzuflen
32108 Bad Salzuflen
From 4 to 6 February ALPI will take part – in collaboration with the distributor HWB Furniere & Holzwerkstoffe – in ZOW, the trade fair on the world of design held at Bad Salzuflen, a central location for the German furniture industry. The fair is an important showcase for architects, designers and developers from all over the world, presenting a range of highly innovative components and semi-finished products.
For this event ALPI will illustrate its path of research based on incessant technological innovation and a refined culture of craftsmanship, presenting new products together with a selection of collections of wood surfaces created in collaboration with international designers.
In particular, ALPI will be showing the collections presented in 2019 at the FuoriSalone in Milan, created together with Martino Gamper and Piero Lissoni. The first has created a new type of wood that does not exist in nature, forging beyond the boundaries of experimentation with the “Gamperana Triplex” model. Piero Lissoni has investigated the possible expressions of a natural wood like cherry, reinterpreting its character in a more contemporary way.
Alongside these new developments, the company presents other extraordinary collections of wood surfaces: from the multicolored dots of the reissue of the first wood created by ALPI for Atelier Mendini in 1991, Pointillisme COL and B/W by Atelier Mendini with Alex Mocika, to the charm of clouds transformed into graphic signs in the Cloudy wood by GamFratesi, all the way to the famous ALPI Sottsass Red model by the designer Ettore Sottsass.
