Layered Nature by nendo
ALPI proudly presents "Layered Nature", a new exhibition by nendo hosted at the ALPI showroom in Milan on Via Solferino in the heart of the Brera district.
The project is rooted in a collaboration with Oki Sato that began with the creation of two veneers, ALPI Kasumi and ALPI Futae, presented during Milan Design Week 2025.
For "Layered Nature" nendo interprets ALPI wood as a living, layered material in constant transformation, with surfaces like landscapes, where design precision meets the unpredictability of nature, resulting in patterns that look like they originate in the wild but are actually based on meticulous technique.
The exhibition, which belongs to an ALPI tradition of collaborations with international design talents such as Martino Gamper, Alessandro Mendini, Ron Arad and Konstantin Grcic, continues a curatorial initiative aimed at unifying innovation, design culture and experimentation with wood.
