ALPI@SICAM 2023

ALPI will be holding its yearly exhibit at the Sicam, an international trade show for manufacturers of components, semifinished products and accessories for the furniture industry. ALPI will display its abilities to interpret wood at a stand designed by Lissoni Associati that is a meticulous combination of geometric volumes and elements conceived to lend the veneers three-dimensionality.

The trade show, open from 17 to 20 October in the city of Pordenone, is an opportunity to familiarise with the 2023 ALPI products that were presented for the first time during this year's Furniture Fair in Milan. The main new items are the results of a project conducted by Vittorio Alpi with the German designer Konstantin Grcic, whose in-depth knowledge of wood and unusual approach has given birth to the veneers Arcobaleno (a gradually alternated sequence of rainbow colours) and Raggiosole (warm hues ranging from red to black).

In addition to Grcic's kaleidoscopic wood veneers, the exhibit includes a recent addition to the Xilo collection curated by Piero Lissoni: a rich, chocolatey shade of brown named Kakao. The enveloping, dense tonality enhances the wood's liveliness by reproducing its natural characteristics.
