ALPI at Architect@work 2022

From September to November, ALPI will be participating in five editions of Architect@Work, one of Europe's prime fairs for architects, interior designers and design-related professionals. The trade show is dedicated to the exposition of highly innovative products. Here, ALPI will present its most recent wood collections, made in collaboration with Piero Lissoni and Ettore Sottsass. The new Legacy Collection, curated by Piero Lissoni, is a range of veneers inspired by lost species such as ebony, Honduran mahogany, teak and rosewood – all woods that are not easily sourced, or even illegal to use. With this unique and sustainable collection, ALPI makes available ecological veneers that are replicas of their unattainable natural counterparts, offering these surfaces to contemporary interpretation. Also on display will be ALPI Sottsass Dark Brown, a shade added in 2022 to the long-standing ALPI Sottsass line of veneers. The new colour variant is a deep, intense brown. The ALPI research and development department constructed this rich colour based on the designer's notes preserved in the company archive. Along with the new collections, ALPI will exhibit the French Palette collection developed last year with Piero Lissoni. Pictorial colour research bring this range of woods to a higher level of refinement, reflecting the profound sense of material and aesthetic culture at ALPI. The collection, which takes inspiration from the translucent hues used in 18th-century French painting, is a range of 10 delicate, balanced and sophisticated shades.
